Type of soil

The plots are located at an altitude of approximately 200 m above sea level, with a south-southwesterly exposure. The soils, mainly alluvial, are rich in river pebbles.

Grape Variety

100% Sangiovese grapes from the vineyard overlooking Lake Corbara.

Vinification

Vinification and maceration take place in stainless steel vats, where the grapes are kept at a controlled temperature of 25°-28°C for 15-18 days. After vinification, the wine is transferred to French oak casks, where it is kept to age for 12 months. The process is completed with 5 to 6 months of bottle-ageing.

Sensory Evaluation

The colour is rich ruby red, and the scent a captivating aroma of ripe fruit enriched by tones of coffee and vanilla and hints of plum, chestnut, and tobacco. Softly tannic, enveloping, full, and round to the taste.

Food pairing

The perfect food combination for this wine is salami, grilled meat, juicy roasts, and aged cheese.

Vinification
